Concealed Rods for Concealed Systems

Concealed System Lightning rods

All parts used in a concealed system are the same except for the lightning rods and the through wall or roof cable connectors.

Concealed-cutout

Concealed Systems are just like a regular external system except they can be installed within the wall cavities and attic area under new construction. The design is done in the same manner. You just need to picture everything internally with connections for the lightning rods in their location. The 250B concealed rods are two basic parts. The internal threaded part which remains inside the ceiling attic area with the knuckle exposed above the shingles or other roofing. Then the lightning rod/air terminal will be screwed into the swivel knuckle on the outside. Run all cable laterally and or in a downward fashion to the ground. Lightning cannot travel uphill just as a river will not flow upstream.
